Survive Alive House Foundation
The board of directors of the Survive Alive House Foundation (SAHF), a 501c3 organization, consists of area business leaders who work in partnership with the Chicago Fire Department’s Public Education Unit to educate children, adults and senior citizens about fire safety and burn prevention.
Board members bring a variety of professional experience in the construction, financial services, insurance and marketing fields, along with first-hand knowledge of fire and EMT services.
Some of us have worked in the fire service industry – at least one part of it – for years, and some of us were inspired by a family member, neighbor or friend to take part in this valuable work. Perhaps we can energize young people to one day study to become a firefighter, EMT, social worker, healthcare provider, inventor or some other profession that also helps people. In the absence of that, perhaps we can simply help them to stay safe – for their sake and for others.
